Sticks And Stones
by John Bytheway
Sticks and stones can break my bones but names can never hurt me.
but oh the hurt I feel inside when friends I,ve known desert me.
For now I,m left to walk the crowded halls of school alone,
And wonder whats been said today when the whispering is done.
And when I kneel to pray at night I shed a little tear,
And ask for Heavenly Father's love and trust he will be near.
Now if you want to break some bones some sticks and stones will do,
But if you want to break a heart just spread a lie or two.
'Cause sticks and stones may break some bones, but broken bones can mend,
But spread around an evil fib and the hurt may never end.

that is such a touching poem. it makes you think twice about what you say to people at school.
on a side note, you should definitely put up some pictures of you. that way, all of Bloggerdome can see how pretty you are. =)
That is a ver cool poem and I'm glad you typed it because people say sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me! I don't believe it because words do hurt you or me. I missed you while you were gone and hope you blog again soon!
True! Thanks for posting such a cool thing. Words do leave their marks too. I concur with guitarer, you should post some pictures. Come to my house, I have some stored!
